Declaration of accessibility
We endeavor to make our website accessible in accordance with Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council and the Austrian Federal Disability Equality Act (BGStG).
The accessibility requirements in accordance with the applicable technical standards (in particular WCAG 2.1, conformity level AA) are currently only partially met. We are constantly working on improving the accessibility of our website and gradually removing existing barriers.
Due to technical and design constraints, the full implementation of all requirements at the present time would involve disproportionate effort.
Non-accessible content:
- Alternative texts for non-text content: Alternative texts are already provided for many images and graphics. However, all elements are not yet fully covered. No text alternatives can currently be offered for embedded videos.
- Keyboard operability: Unrestricted navigation and use of the website via the keyboard is currently not possible across the board. This functionality will be taken into account in a future technical revision.
- Contrast ratios: The visual design of the website is based on the Krainerhütte corporate design. In some areas, the color contrast between text and background does not fully comply with the recommended minimum values. We regularly check possible adjustments.
- Link texts: Comprehensible, context-independent link texts are an important criterion for accessibility. General formulations such as “find out more” are currently being successively replaced by more precise texts.
Preparation of this declaration:
This declaration was prepared in June 2025. The website was assessed by means of an internal audit based on random sampling and self-assessment.
